RBI Pharmacist Recruitment 2026: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Guwahati, has announced a recruitment notification for the engagement of two (02) part-time Pharmacists on a contractual basis. The selected Pharmacists will be deployed at the RBI’s dispensaries located in Guwahati:
- RBI Main Office Premises, Station Road, Panbazar, Guwahati – 781001.

The Bank reserves the right to allocate the candidate to any of these dispensaries as per requirement.
RBI Pharmacist Recruitment Eligibility Criteria

A. Educational Qualification:
- Must have passed Matriculation (10th Standard) or its equivalent.
- Must possess a Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) from a university recognized under the Pharmacy Act, 1948.
- Note: Candidates with a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) degree are also eligible to apply.
B. Essential Experience & Registration:
- Must be registered with the State Pharmacy Council.
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Pharmacist.
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Public Sector Banks (PSBs), Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), or Government organizations.
- Should possess basic working knowledge of computers.
Remuneration, Duty Hours & Contract Details
- Pay Scale: A fixed remuneration of ₹400 per hour.
- Duty Hours: Maximum of 5 hours per day, not exceeding 30 hours in a week.
- Contract Period: The engagement is purely contractual for a maximum period of 240 days at a stretch.
- Important: The Pharmacist will not be entitled to any regular pay, allowances, perks, or facilities admissible to permanent RBI employees. This contract does not confer any right for a temporary or permanent post in the RBI.

RBI Pharmacist Recruitment Selection Process
The selection will be based on the following stages:
- Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted based on overall qualifications, experience (preference for PSB/PSU/Govt. experience), and proximity of residence to the dispensaries.
- Interview: Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. No Travel Allowance (TA/DA) will be paid for attending the interview.
- Medical Examination & Document Verification: Candidates provisionally selected after the interview will undergo a medical fitness test and final document verification.
- Final Engagement: The final offer is subject to medical fitness, acceptance of the Bank’s Terms & Conditions, and the Code of Conduct.
