Indian Oil Apprentice Eligibility 2026
Candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria related to nationality, age, and educational qualifications.
Age Limit
Minimum Age: 18 years
Maximum Age: 24 years as on 31st January 2026 for General/EWS candidates.
Age Relaxation: Applicable as per Govt. guidelines:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC (NCL): 3 years
- PwBD: 10 years (additional relaxation for SC/ST/OBC PwBD as per category)
Proof of Age: Only Matriculation (Class X) marksheet/certificate is acceptable.

Educational Qualification
- For ITI-based Posts (Code 102): Pass marks in regular full-time ITI (Fitter) course recognized by NCVET/SCVT.
- For Diploma/Graduation-based Posts (Codes 103, 105, 106, 107, 109): Minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PwBD against reserved seats) in the relevant full-time regular course from a recognized University/Institute.
- CGPA Conversion: Candidates with CGPA/OGPA must provide a university-certified conversion to percentage.
- Higher Qualifications: Candidates with BE/B.Tech, MBA, CA, LLB, MCA, etc., or those pursuing such qualifications are NOT eligible.
- Experience: Candidates with one year or more of job experience after qualification are not eligible.
- Qualification Age: Candidates who completed the prescribed qualification more than five years before 31.01.2026 are not eligible.

Indian Oil Apprentice Selection Process 2026
The selection is merit-based and does NOT involve a written test.

- Tie-Breaker: In case of a tie, seniority in age (older candidate) will be considered. If the date of birth is also the same, the higher percentage in Matriculation (Class X) will be considered.
