The Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Wednesday expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives in the Delhi Red Fort blast and termed it as a `terror attack`, reported the PTI.
As a mark of respect to those who died in the explosion on Monday evening, the Cabinet observed a two-minute silence during its meeting.
Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said that the Union Cabinet reiterated the government’s unwavering commitment to its policy of zero tolerance towards terrorism in all forms and manifestations.
The powerful blast near Gate No. 1 of the Red Fort Metro Station killed at least 12 people and injured several others.
