Selection Process
Candidates must successfully clear the following stages to be selected for the apprenticeship program.
- Merit List: A merit list will be prepared state-wise based on the percentage of marks obtained in the 12th Standard (HSC/10+2) or Diploma Examination. The minimum qualifying marks are 60% for general category and 55% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
- Tie-Breaker Rule: In cases where candidates have the same percentage of marks, the merit ranking will be decided based on age, with the older candidate being ranked higher.
- Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called for the verification of their original documents.
- Local Language Test: A test for knowledge of the specified local language will be conducted during Document Verification for candidates who cannot produce a 10th or 12th standard mark sheet as proof of studying the language.
- Medical Examination: Final engagement is subject to the candidate being declared medically fit.
