The political atmosphere in Bihar is charged with anticipation as the state gears up for the 2025 Assembly Election results on November 14. After weeks of intense campaigning, record-breaking voter turnout, and heated political debates, all eyes are now set on the counting day.

The Election Commission of India (ECI) has officially announced that the vote counting will begin at 8:00 am, and the results for all 243 assembly constituencies will be declared on the same day.

With exit polls indicating that the NDA will overcome the Mahagathbandhan, the much-anticipated assembly elections will decide the fate of Tejashwi Yadav’s role for the next five years. Here is everything you need to know about the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 results.

When will the votes be counted?

The counting of votes for the Bihar assembly elections 2025 will start on 14 November at 8:00 am, as per the Election Commission. The counting process will be conducted across 46 designated centres in 38 districts, under tight security and round-the-clock monitoring by the Election Commission.

Bihar records highest highest-ever voter turnout in 2025

Bihar registered its highest-ever voter turnout of 67.14 per cent at the close of polling in the second and final phase of the high-stakes assembly elections on 11 November. The high voter turnout percentage was widely viewed as a referendum on Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, the state’s longest-serving leader, news agency PTI reported.

The polling across the state was held across 122 constituencies with a total of 3.70 crore voters, surpassing the previous record of 65.09 per cent turnout recorded in the first phase on November 6. 

Kishanaganj reported the highest polling percentage

Kishanganj constituency, the lone Muslim-majority district in Bihar, reported the highest polling percentage at 76.26 per cent, followed by Katihar (75.23 per cent), Purnea (73.79 per cent), Supaul (70.69 per cent), and Araria (67.79 per cent), as reported by news agency PTI. 

High voter participation was also seen in South Bihar, including Jamui (67.81 per cent), Gaya (67.50 per cent), and Kaimur (67.22 per cent), while Nawada recorded the lowest turnout at 57.31 per cent, making it the only district failing to cross the 60 per cent mark till 5 pm, PTI reported.
