Bihar polls: PM Modi credits women, youth for NDA’s victory | Sarkari Result Info

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday evening reached the BJP headquarters in New Delhi and credited women and young voters for the National Democratic Alliance’s (NDA) sweeping victory in the Bihar elections 2025.

Taking a swipe at the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), PM Modi said parties in Bihar had long depended on the traditional Muslim–Yadav support base, but this election showed that the rising aspirations of women and young people had overridden that.

“Bihar has one of the highest youth populations, and they come from all castes and religions. Their dreams and aspirations have rejected the communal MY formula of the jungle raj era,” he said.

PM Modi also said young voters had shown strong support for the revision of electoral rolls, noting that the cleanliness of the voters’ list had become an important issue for the electorate.

Speaking to BJP workers and supporters, PM Modi said that the mandate has given rise to a new “MY – Mahila and Youth” formula.

He said this “positive MY” has defeated what he described as the Opposition’s “communal MY formula”.

PM Modi said that the people of Bihar had once again upheld the values of democracy.

“Bihar, the land that gave India the honour of being the mother of democracy, has ensured that those who attack democratic institutions are made to bite the dust,” he said.

PM Modi added that the results showed that “lies are defeated and public trust wins”, and that the huge mandate had further strengthened people’s confidence in the Election Commission. His remarks come amid continuing allegations from Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who has accused the EC of “vote theft” and collusion with the BJP.

He praised Nitish Kumar and the NDA partners for the alliance’s strong performance, saying the people of Bihar had expressed “unshakeable faith” in the coalition.

Earlier, in a post on X, PM Modi wrote, “Gratitude to each and every person of Bihar for blessing the NDA with a historical and unparalleled victory in the 2025 Vidhan Sabha elections. This mandate gives us renewed strength to serve the people and work for Bihar.”

He also praised the Election Commission and security forces for conducting peaceful elections in Bihar, recalling that “violence used to be the norm during jungle raj”, reportedly referring to past RJD governments.
