Those who indulge in jungle-raj won`t get opportunity to loot: Amit Shah | Sarkari Result Info

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday hailed the National Democratic Alliance’s (NDA’s) strong showing in the Bihar Assembly Elections, describing the mandate as the “victory of every Bihari who believes in a developed Bihar”. He said voters had decisively rejected “jungle raj” and appeasement politics in favour of performance-driven governance.

In a post on X, Shah said the results demonstrated the people’s growing trust in Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, and underscored the shift towards accountability-based politics.

Praising the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and NDA workers for their extensive groundwork, Shah said: “Those who indulge in jungle-raj and appeasement politics — no matter what guise they come in — will not get the opportunity to loot. The public now gives its mandate solely on the basis of the politics of performance.”

Congratulating the NDA leadership, he added: “I congratulate Shri @narendramodi, Shri @NitishKumar, and all the leaders and workers of the NDA… from the booth level to the state level, who realised this result through their tireless efforts.”

Shah also assured voters, especially women, that the NDA government would work with renewed commitment.

Meanwhile, BJP National President JP Nadda called the NDA’s victory “historic”, saying it represented a “seal of trust” in the development and welfare policies of the Modi–Nitish “double engine” government.

In his message on X, Nadda said the NDA’s “resounding majority” showed that Bihar had completely rejected the Mahagathbandhan’s “jungle raj” and corruption, embracing instead the ruling coalition’s agenda of good governance, stability and development.

“The historic public support received by the National Democratic Alliance in Bihar is a seal of trust from the people on the development-oriented and public welfare policies of the double-engine government,” he said.

The Union Minister added that the “unprecedented mandate” would strengthen the NDA’s resolve to make Bihar a developed state and contribute to India’s goal of becoming a developed nation.

The ruling alliance was poised for a sweeping victory, leading in close to 200 of the 243 seats, with the BJP emerging as the single largest party and posting an impressive 95 per cent strike rate.

The Mahagathbandhan — comprising the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Congress and Left parties — was struggling to cross the 35-seat mark.
